My Favorite Subject

This was the first semester in Anthropology, and we have a lot of subjects that the lot of us never have seen it before, and some of them was very difficult, others not. But if have to choose one of them I definitely take Human Evolution for the subject that I liked the most, because I think that it was the subject that I learned the most, and that was because all the weeks we have homework’s and books to read, we never have a time without thinking of what we need to do in Evolution. The other reason why I choose this subject, it’s because I think that the classes were most dynamic, in the sense that we have to do a lot of investigation in and out of the university, the works that they send to us, we have to do them usually out of the class room, one time we went to the zoo to see the monkeys, other time we went to Cajón del Maipo to do some ground investigation searching fossils and in another work we have to interview religious groups and ask what they think about the evolution of the human being. For that reasons is why I enjoy so much the subject, and I hope to have a similar subject in the future.

Animals in my life

The truth is that I do not consider myself an animal lover, but that does not mean I hate them, in fact I have a cat named Dragona. I think that cats are one of the few animals that I can stand close to, the condition for me to like an animal is that it does not have a lot of smell or make a lot of noise, I like animals to be quiet, that's why I do not like dogs or horses for example.
Returning with my cat, she is the best cat in the world, does not make problems and is very clean, besides that she is very affectionate, but she is also very fat in fact she is obese because she was run over when she was little and she could not walk by A long time. She has been my pet for a long time and I do not want anything to happen to her, but she is old and I know that her moment can come. But without hesitation I would only have cats for the rest of my life, I believe that next time I will look for another stray cat that has no family to take care of it.
The cat in the picture is not mine, but it looks a lot like my cat and the picture is very funny.

Andes Mountains

This photo was taken by my girlfriend and me this year when it snowed, we were leaving the university on our way to our house and we realized that the mountain range was full of snow and it occurred to us to take a picture because besides almost never snow almost We can never be this close to get a good photo. The photo is very beautiful and I think it will be a good memory of my girlfriend as well as my first year here at the university. Looking for photos for this homework I realized that I do not have good photos taken by me and I wanted to learn to take pictures but without a camera I think it will be a bit difficult to learn.

My Cell Phone

I believe that my cell phone, although it is not my favorite technological piece, is the one that I use the most and I think that makes it the most important, since without it I would be disconnected from the world and from people who would like to contact me. I had a cell phone when I was older because I was never interested in having it but I got to a point where it was necessary. Although I do not know how to use it very well, because I do not take much attention and I'm not interested in learning how to use it so well, as long as I can communicate and recreate myself for a while it's okey.

Why did i choose Anthropologhy?

That is the question that many relatives and friends make me until today because they do not understand what was the reason why I chose this career. I do not have an elaborate answer either since I have not been studying for a long time and the truth is that it is not an easy race to explain since the field of study is quite broad. But within what most motivated me was the fact that I could know more about humans by mixing both science and social science, two fields that I liked a lot. I also discovered that within anthropology there was archeology which, when I investigated it, I realized that I wanted to study it.

 

My Biography

I can tell you a little about myself, my name is José Vicente Rubio and I am 20 years old, I was born in santiago and I have lived all my life here, I studied in the calasanz school which is very close to here, but I waited a year to enter here because I did not know what I wanted to study. In my house I live with my two parents and my little sister who is currently 7 years old (I take care of her every day). I have a lot of hobbies but basketball is certainly the one that I practice the most and the one I like the most, in fact I am with the sports scholarship, I also like to listen to music and practice other sports.
